America's Christian Heritage

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Massachusetts in the area where our nation was founded. What was apparent to me was the great impact that Christianity had on the founders, who took care to embed its principles into fundamental documents such as the Constitution or Declaration of Independence. With the context of that history as well as the knowledge of what is happening today, the verse Psalm 11:3 is brought to mind, which states, "If the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do?" Not every nation was founded upon Christian principles as the United States was, but the challenges to those foundations present in modern day forces risk so much for believers as well as non-believers.
