Introducing King David

We continue our study of 1 Samuel today in 1 Samuel 16, and this time we get to see the introduction of David. When thinking of heroes of the faith in the Old Testament, you likely might think of Abraham, Moses, and David. David is known in the Bible as "a man after God's own heart," which played the pivotal role in his selection as the next king of Israel and his rise to God's favor through his continual actions that honored God. I'd like to tell story of the introduction of David today as well as pointing out the key moments where he did what honored God.
