What Makes the Gospel Relevant?

Several months ago, I gave a funeral message with the knowledge there would be many present who would not be saved. I asked the Lord to give me a message that I would be able to reach them with and that could make the most of this opportunity. He reminded me that everyone has "core issues," flaws in their lives that they are seeking to solve. The solution to these issues can come in the Psalm 23 as I felt the Lord said to me: "Everything that people are looking for in life can be found in the 23rd Psalm." The relationship between God and man described in this passage fills the void of the lost who have a desire for companionship and protection.
