Balance

I came across this book that a friend of mine recommended to me named "Fifty Pentecostal and Charismatic Leaders." I like the book so much that I ended up calling the author not long ago and speaking to him at length about the book. The book mentions many leaders you are likely to have heard of: Smith Wigglesworth, William Seymour, and Aimee Semple McPherson. Among these people is mentioned an individual originally from Great Britain named Donald Gee. The description given to Lake is particularly interesting: "The Apostle of Balance." At a time when there was so much hysteria in the Pentecostal community, Donald Gee was a steady voice that brought balance to an emerging movement. I believe that this principle of balance is a crucial one to realize for our personal lives and our walks of faith. The ultimate balance can be achieved by keeping our eyes on Jesus.
