David: Israel's Greatest King

If the Old Testament had its own Mount Rushmore, who do you believe would be on there? I believe strongly that at least two would be Abraham and David. It would not be an exaggeration to state that David was Israel's greatest king, both in his political prowess and mightiness as a ruler, but more importantly in his submission to the will of God and following of the Lord's commands. King David is stated in scripture as being "a man after God's own heart," which was exhibited in his lifetime and time again by his reverence, obedience, and wisdom toward God's command. I believe that I have a list of seven life lessons one can learn from David's life and apply to their own.
