Saul Meets Samuel

Open up to 1 Samuel 8 with me. We've been going through the book of Samuel together lately, covering various stories that hold exceptional importance for Christians today. Recently in our studies, the Israelites demanded a king for their nation, and God told Samuel that Saul, son of Kish, would be the nation's king. The passage today describes the exceptional divine direction placed over both Saul and Samuel in their finding of one another. It is a reminder that where God wills something for us, he will guide us to ensure we are able to fulfill his goals.
