King Saul: Lessons on Pride & Impatience

Our discussion of 1 Samuel continues here with the story of Saul's offering of sacrifices himself, rather than waiting on Samuel to arrive first. This story serves as a twofold lesson, first of obedience, and second of patience. Saul severely lacked the ability to exercise both of these attributes, and he paid dearly for it. I feel that the following statement would have saved Saul had he adhered to it: "simply obey." It really is as easy as obeying what God has told us, and in return he will bless and protect us.
